CULTURE CREATORS is a platform that brings awareness of the contributions of leaders in various industries who are shaping the global view of African American culture through entertainment. The platform is used to create conversation, mentorship, and leadership around the culture for the millennial generation. “ I was blessed to be in the room with very powerful leaders early in my career and it’s my generation’s duty to ensure that our young leaders are also afforded the same opportunity. Partnering with the Department of Marketing is a natural partnership given the success of our Culture Creators scholarship that we started this year with the University for students pursuing careers in entertainment. Education is critical to the mission of Culture Creators and I’m happy to partner with my Alma Mater ,” says Culture Creators Founder, Joi Brown.

Howard University’s Assistant Professor, Efua Obeng says of the event, “ Howard University’s Department of Marketing is proud to host our 5th Annual Marketing Career Summit and Scholarship

Event on March 24, 2017. The goal of this event is twofold: education and scholarship. The panels provide a venue for students to hear insider tips for how to become marketers in their dream industries. With the money donated by our corporate sponsors, we hope to raise enough funds to provide four scholarships to marketing majors that exhibit remarkable marketing and communication skills, along with demonstrating high academic achievement while attending Howard University .”

The Career Fair and Mixer will give students the opportunity to discuss resume improvement and continue interacting with the summit’s special guests.

Culture Creators, Walmart, Motions, other sponsors hope that this Marketing Summit advances the careers of Howard University graduates and encourages other industry professionals to return to the educational institutes that shaped them, to better the overall student experience in any work field.
